I disagree, because the person who said this {^} meant that if you find the truth out you’ll get hurt. You’ll get hurt either way. If you don’t know you get hurt but you can’t do anything about it. Its like having a serious disease but not knowing that you have it since you refuse to see the doctor. If you do know the truth, you get hurt because either awful things were said about you or you didn’t like what you heard or saw. However, at least, when you know you’re able to do something about it. Go see that doctor find out about your disease and start treating it.
Sure it sucks but knowing the truth allows you to improve for the better or worse.
